Summary: In preparation for the official kick-off of the system of on-line bidding in Cameroon- COLEPS, the project team has been organizing some workshop seminars for those directly concerned or those who will be interacting with the system- the MOs, the Contracting Authorities and the Commissions, in Yaoundé.

Read on: These workshop seminars which are geared towards the training, sensitization of the would be users of COLEPS, started on the 9th of September 2015 and would cover a period of six weeks.

Training continued from the 12th to the 30th of october registering over 200 participants ranging from Bank staff, National Insurance Fund Judiciary, Taxation, ARMP and other administrative strutures.

In a nutshell, some of the advantages of this system include: improved transparency on public contract system as a whole, improved equity and better access to a wider public contracts. It ease’s the process of bidding as it can be done from anywhere on the internet.

The present stage of the project concerns, the programming of investment projects, the publication of tender’s notices, bidding and award of contracts.
