Women at the Ministry of Public Procurement joined the rest of the world in advocating for actions aimed at equal rights, power and opportunities for all, and a feminist future where no one is left behind.
The celebration of the 40th International Women's Day at the Ministry of Public Procurement highlighted women's achievements and their ongoing struggle for equal opportunities, particularly in the workplace. This was in line with the theme of the 2025 edition: ‘For ALL women and girls: equal rights and empowerment’.
After a colourful parade on Boulevard du 20 Mai, the women of MINMAP, dressed in their magnificent outfits for the day, converged on the banquet hall of the FELICIA Hotel in Mvog-Mbi for a well-deserved evening. The Secretary General of the Ministry of Public Procurement, Mr AKO TAKEM Chancel, representing the Minister Delegate to the Presidency of the Republic in charge of Public Procurement, H.E. Ibrahim Talba Malla Ibrahim, presided over the ceremony.
Taking the floor, the Secretary General congratulated the women for their massive participation in the parade that took place in the morning. Continuing his remarks, he praised their commitment to the development of an emerging Cameroon, promising a bright future for the women of MINMAP.
The day was enlivened by a fashion show, dance performances, a competition for the oldest fabric on International Women's Day, karaoke and many other interesting activities. The women enjoyed good music and good food; in short, there was plenty to cheer everyone up.
See you in 2026.
